We have saved the Capitol Hill Alano Club! Through your love and support, we have raised over $20,000. This means that there will continue to be a safe place for Seattle's GLBTQ community in recovery to enjoy. Thank you for visiting the Capitol Hill Alano Club's website. Our current primary goal is to keep our doors open. Staying Alive 2010 is our call-to-arms to the Seattle recovery community, the Capitol Hill neighborhood, and YOU!
Although we raised $5,863.00 at Bat-n-Rouge XII, this is approximately $10,000 less than we raised last year. Due to extraordinary expenses for maintenance and repairs on our rented space last year and along with diminished meeting and membership income, we are seeking emergency help from you.
If we do not raise our goal of $15,000 by August 1st, we will have to shut our doors.

Each year, the Club has two major fundraisers to close the monthly gap in income/expenses. Although the effort of all the volunteers that helped with Bat-n-Rouge was priceless, the income fell far short of what we need to stay afloat until November/December's Kringle's Korner fundraiser.
We have until the end of July, 2010 to raise $15,000 to keep the doors open. Without your help, we will have to close the Club in August. Here's how you can make a difference:

- Attend the emergency general membership meeting at 6p Wednesday 7/7/2010 in room 2B. Bring your ideas for immediate fundraising.
- Attend the emergency board meeting at 6p Wednesday 7/14/2010 in room 2B. You can volunteer your time / effort to help us stay open.
- Attend the regular general membership meeting at 6p Wednesday 7/21/2010 in room 2B. We have Board elections scheduled. Consider joining the Board, we currently have one open position and four others are up for re-election.
